Age: 33

Reasons he is a Forty: He is a proven leader with so much more to accomplish in Central Iowa. He is one of the youngest to ever become a shareholder at Holmes Murphy, and he continues to be a top producer at Holmes Murphy every year. He takes pride in giving back to the community that raised him; he is a board member at Easterseals Iowa and volunteers at St. Vincent de Paul and Waukee Northwest (his dog was the football mascot). He is a graduate of Waukee Leadership Institute. He has a drive to help everyone around him grow.

What are your goals in your role at your company? Health insurance is confusing and expensive. My goal at Holmes Murphy is to make sure every one of our customers and their employees are the best consumers of the health care industry they can be.

What are your goals for your community involvement? I recently joined the board of directors at Easterseals Iowa. My goal is to make sure every single person in my network knows about our mission and all the wonderful things we do for our clients and their families.

What's your biggest passion, and why? Health is wealth. Whether it’s physical, mental, social or financial health, it’s all important. Take care of yourself!

What is it that drives you? Helping my friends, co-workers and customers succeed and grow to their fullest potential is what drives me every day to be my best. I have had a lot of help to get to where I am today, and it’s important that I pay it forward to everyone around me.

What are your future aspirations? My aspiration for the future is to help bring mental health awareness and resources to the Central Iowa community members and businesses. I will do this by working with community leaders and legislators to ensure everyone has a place to go if they need help.

Three hobbies: Travel, golf, cooking and cheering on the Cyclones.

Fun fact: He knows how to clap with one hand. Ask him, he would be happy to show you.

One word to describe you: Competitive.

What is your wish for the Central Iowa business community? Being nice is easy. My wish is to see Central Iowa continue to grow at an amazing pace while maintaining the Iowa Nice culture.

What's one piece of advice that you would give to a young professional? Try to leave a positive impression on everyone you meet both professionally and personally in life. Let people know who you are and what you are about, and never forget to pay it forward because you didn’t get to where you are at by yourself.

What is one issue you would like to see Central Iowa leaders address? Mental health disorders continue to rise at a scary rate across our country. I would love to see Central Iowa leaders make mental health resources more readily available and known for all our community members, so they have a place to go in a very vulnerable moment in life.
